A ski is a long flat device which is used by a person to slide smoothly over the snow. This comes under outdoor gear. Skiis are used in downhill race events where the skiers are allowed to slide over the snow. The size of the ski is very important as it plays an important role in changing directions when sliding. There are different types of skies such as alpine ski, twin tip ski, ski jumping ski, monoski, telemark ski, cross-country ski etc. This outdoor gear is very much used instead of tyres in snow areas whereas golf equipment and baseball equipment are only used for outdoor game purpose.
